What Is Kratom?
Kratom itself is a tropical tree that grows in certain Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Borneo. The leaves of this tree can be harvested and dried, and these dried leaves are what people are referring to when they talk about “kratom.”
In regions where the tree grows native, these leaves have been used for hundreds of years as a traditional botanical. Teas that are made from the leaves were also used in many different types of ceremonies.
Today, traditional usage of these leaves is less common, and kratom use is not as common as it once was in those areas. In the last ten to twenty years, however, kratom use around the world has increased exponentially.
How Does A Kratom Tree Grow?
As mentioned, Kratom is a tropical tree that is native to countries like:
Thailand, Myanmar, Borneo, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea
In these tropical regions, the conditions are perfect for Kratom tree growth, and the trees grow wild. With the right conditions, the trees can grow very tall. They average around fifty feet in height, but they can even soar to heights of eighty feet or taller!
Is Kratom legal in my State?

Do you test your products?
MIT45 only offers Kratom products that are tested for identification, heavy metals content ([AOAC 2013.06] Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury) and for microbial safety (Aerobic Plate Count [AOAC 990.12], Yeast and Mold [AOAC 997.02], Coliforms and E Coli [AOAC 991.4], and Salmonella [AOAC-RI 050701]), and only products which pass these tests are made available to order. To verify the Certificate of analysis for each Lot (or batch) we label each product with a Lot No. you can simply enter the Lot No. into the search bar at mit45.com/certificate-of-analysis/ and see the 3rd party Certificate of Analysis. It will look like the Certificate shown below. If at any point the Lot No. on your purchase does not appear in the Certificate of Analysis search, feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] and we will gladly send the Certificate directly to you and ensure that the Certificate is added to our Lot Library.
It is our earnest hope that all kratom companies will take seriously their responsibility to prevent unsafe products from entering the market, and we urge consumers to conduct due diligence when choosing a kratom vendor. Do not be afraid to ask important questions about their manufacturing practices and testing, or to request Certificates of Analysis from accredited laboratories. Reputable vendors will have no problem answering these queries, including those about kratom duration time, and should be able to provide you with information about their products and processes, including ingredients, concentrations, expected effects, warnings, etc.

Why is MIT45 more expensive than other companies?
MIT45 is a premium brand and therefore priced as such due the high-quality standards we maintain. MIT45 has established farm to final product controls by partnering directly with responsible farmers throughout SouthEast Asia. We’ve even helped build farm infrastructure with many of those framers so that they are able to provide us with the finest raw Kratom leaves.
Those leaves are then either packaged in our Raw Leaf powder and Raw Leaf capsules or utilized to produce one our best-in-class extracts. Those extracts are manufactured in a pharmaceutical grade laboratory where great care is taken to ensure that the potency and consistency is at the high standard that our customers, like you, are accustomed to. We also take great pride in our Triple Purification Process TM. As a normal part of the extraction process conducted by all Kratom manufacturers, solvents are introduced at various stages of extraction. At MIT45, the purity of our product is of utmost importance, so we committed to the extra steps of removing all solvents or contaminants that may have been found in the extract. After the Triple Purification Process our extracts are tested by a 3rd party laboratory to ensure this process was successful and only products that have passed this stringent testing are made available for purchase.
Most Kratom manufacturers aren’t committed to ensuring that their products are purified once, much less three times. At MIT45, we feel as though we owe it to our customers and the industry as a whole to ensure we provide only the best and purest kratom products. Do not be fooled by other companies that may provide cheaper products. In the Kratom industry, as in life, you certainly get what you pay for.
Why do the products contain no instructions?
We sell our products with no directions for use or intended use. The FDA has warned against the dangers of consuming kratom and there are no safe guidelines for use as a dietary supplement. Our customers must do their own research and decide on which way to use kratom. We do not make any recommendations for use and the product is handled at the customer’s own risk.
