If you want to include kratom in your daily routine, you may wonder how you can find kratom extracts available near you, and how to vet kratom manufacturers. It’s vital that the products you purchase aren’t mixed with harmful additives and are from brands you can trust.

Local shops may offer more convenience than online retailers, but you have more opportunity to ensure the quality of online retailers’ products. If your need for kratom extract isn’t immediate and doesn’t present an emergency for you, shopping online via a retailer like MIT45 can allow you to find the best prices and the best products.

If you need to find kratom extracts as soon as possible, your best bet is to contact local head shops and convenience stores.

Here are some tips to help you search for kratom extracts near you.

How to find the best online stores for kratom extracts

Searching online for kratom without guidance can make you feel like you’re getting sucked into an abyss if you don’t know where to look. Many fledgling online kratom stores may make false medical claims about kratom’s benefits, and offer deals that sound too good to be true (they are, of course).

Look for kratom extract product websites that highlight the process and testing they use to manufacture their kratom. A kratom brand with a polished website that highlights the possible benefits of kratom use without making false claims is an online store you can probably trust.

Let’s take a look at how to find some of the best online kratom options.

American Kratom Association

The American Kratom Association

The American Kratom Association (AKA) was established in 2014 to help people find the safest and most trustworthy kratom extract products on the market. The AKA is transparent about both the potential benefits and effects associated with kratom use, and backs up their data with reliable scientific sources.

Regardless of whether you choose to pursue a local shop or an online store for your kratom purchases, the AKA is a great place to start your research. Their website highlights a list of GMP-certified kratom vendors which includes MIT45 and our sister brand, Golden Monk.

Kratom research on social media and online forums

You may be able to find kratom groups on social media platforms where you can turn for advice and kratom discussion. Look for a Facebook, Instagram, or X (formerly known as Twitter) group that has both an administrative and moderating team. Use your best judgment when choosing whether or not to join these kratom groups.

There are some solid kratom forums online, too. For example, the I Love Kratom forum users post a lot of important information about kratom, brand recommendations, and brand warnings. Reddit also hosts a good kratom forum that can help you to educate yourself on what kratom extract products and vendors will best suit your needs.

Kratom brand and product information

All kratom products are not created equal. It’s important to read the product information and understand the serving size, strength, and concentration contained in the kratom you’re purchasing. For example, if you’re a first time kratom user, you may want to ensure you begin with a small serving size and a kratom extract that isn’t hardcore in strength.

MIT45 has a wide array of kratom extract products made specifically for every type of kratom user. We provide a detailed description for each product, too.

Here are some of our most popular products:

  • MIT45 Super K:

This kratom extract product comes in liquid form and is sold as a 30mL bottle. One 15mL serving, taken in the evenings, should be enough for the calming effect that many users are looking for. Generally speaking, Super K use should be limited to seasoned kratom users.

  • MIT45 Super K Extra Strong:

Our strongest product overall, the Extra Strong version of Super K has a little over twice the amount of extract as the original. The formula for the extract is the same in both products, making this a good choice for very experienced kratom users seeking kratom’s calming effects for evening use.

  • MIT45 Kratom Shot:

Kratom “liquid gold,” the MIT45 kratom shot is the gold standard in kratom extract liquid products. Triple-purified like all of our extract products, this shot is our best selling product and is great for seasoned kratom users.

  • MIT45 BOOST Bites:

The delicious BOOST Bites are kratom extract gummies. Chock full of herbal energy, BOOST Bites may help you with clarity and focus throughout your day.

  • MIT45 GO:

Our liquid GO packet is the perfect black vein kratom product for users on-the-go. Available in a wide variety of flavors including cinnamon, honey, and orange, Go can fit in your pocket and travel with you anywhere.

  • MIT45 Black Label Capsules:

Premium kratom extract, infused with alluring botanicals, our Black Label Kratom Capsules are a great option for seasoned kratom users looking for extract strength that’s quick and mess-free.

How to find local stores that sell kratom extracts

If you live in a state that doesn’t have kratom regulations in place, chances are you can buy kratom extract at a number of local shops near you. Here are some of the most likely local shops where you can purchase kratom products.

Specialty shops

You can contact any of your local smoke shops, novelty stores, and head shops to ask about their available kratom product selection. Some of these stores may also feature kratom products on their websites, which can help you verify the brands and products that they carry.

Remember to read the description for any of the kratom products you peruse. If the description is vague or non-existent, and you don’t recognize the brand, it’s best to avoid purchasing the product. The quality and safety of kratom extract is crucial to verify before using any kratom-related product.

Convenience stores

Although it’s tough to know what you’re getting with kratom extracts found in convenience stores, some locations do carry them. Chain convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Circle K may carry kratom liquid shots and powders, and you can visit the locations near you to grab a quick fill of kratom.

Just be sure to call ahead to verify kratom extracts are for sale. The online 7-Eleven and Circle K stores do not include a list of kratom products, so it’s a good idea to check each individual location near you. It’s also important to check the AKA list of approved kratom vendors before making a final purchase.

We’re not sure about other kratom manufacturers, but this is one of the fastest growing ways that people are finding MIT45 kratom extracts. Just recently, we’ve established partnerships with the regional convenience store chains of Speedy Stop in Texas, Han-Dee Hugo’s in the Carolinas, and Coen in the Pittsburgh area.

Kratom, kava, and cannabis lounges

Although commonly called kava bars, most of these establishments also sell kratom and may be the perfect way to enjoy kratom with a social component. Relax with friends or get to know other local kratom users.

You may also be able to find products like kava and kratom at some cannabis lounges, though many states ban the use of other products at these locations. A quick Internet search will show you the bars and lounges closest to you, but checking your state and city regulations on kratom can help set your expectations for your experience.

Nutritional supplement stores and natural grocery markets

These are the next places the kratom industry is poised to leverage to expand consumer access. As the rules for accepting payment for kratom start to include credit cards, many nutrition stores and natural grocers are ready to come on board. Already, MIT45 extracts are in some select NutriShop locations.

Again, while national chains tend to sell reliable kratom extracts, it’s especially important to cross-reference the exact product with the AKA.

Some states have banned or regulated kratom products

Why some states ban—and others regulate—kratom sales

In the aftermath of the spice/synthetic marijuana public health scare and isolated news reports of kratom deaths, the FDA and several states rushed to the judgment that kratom was a dangerous substance. Unfortunately, public policy got way ahead of the science.

As new evidence supports the idea that previous kratom deaths have been caused by adulterated products from bad actors in the industry, there has been a new push to set up safety standards and industry regulations. The American Kratom Association has been actively working with states to determine the parameters of these regulations.

There is still much to be discovered about kratom, including all of its potential uses and risks, but it’s hard to make the case based on the evidence that kratom has a high potential for abuse.

With this in mind, here are the states, counties, and cities that have banned kratom, as well as those states where residents enjoy these important consumer protections.

States that have passed a kratom consumer protection law regulating kratom include:

  • Arizona
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Nevada
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

States, counties, and cities where kratom is currently banned include:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Indiana
  • Rhode Island
  • Wisconsin
  • San Diego and Oceanside, California
  • Sarasota County, Florida
  • Jerseyville, Alton, and Edwardsville, Illinois
  • Franklin, New Hampshire
  • Parker and Monument, Colorado (sales-only ban, legal to possess)
  • A few small towns in Louisiana and Mississippi

We encourage you to research the laws in your state, but most states that have banned kratom have also outlawed getting the supplement shipped from out of state, leaving few, if any, options to legally possess kratom in these states.
